Coming Home Dance

Just a small entry today.

So you might ask yourself what Coming Home is.
Coming Home is the same as Homecoming but for Basketball season. I don't know many schools that have Coming Home. On friday there's a game and then on Saturday is the dance.

I was cheering at the game and we won! That was really cool as I wasn't really expecting it.

The next day was the dance. You start getting ready a few hours before to do your hair.. In general you invest so much time in just planning it, but the actual event goes only 2-3 hours. Where do we take the pictures, where are we gonna eat, who is driving us to the dance, etc. Here some pictures:

The dance was good, I liked the photobooth. But all the preparations are a little questionable. My hair was literally just hairspray and glitter.. :)

So yes, on sunday I pretty much just recovered from all the stress. 

My next entry is gonna be about THE YOUNG AMERICANS!!

Halftime

So last weekend we had our midyear orientation. It was a busy day full of different sessions. There wasn't much time in between to share experiences with other exchange students, but somehow we managed to talk at least a little bit. The sessions were interesting, but most of it was the same you already heard at previous orientations.The next orientation is going to be in april.

After the orientation we went to see the Snow Festival in Frankenmuth. It was nice and really cold. There were different contests from high school over college to professionals.We weren't staying for too long as it was literally freezing! But it was nice to see the different snow sculptures.

The next week was pretty much normal. As the past few weeks it was shortened because of snowdays! I really like them. Why don't we have them in Switzerand?!?!
On Thursday we had a Pre Festival concert, that was more like a fancy rehearsal because of the snowdays :)

We had to wear our "beautiful" uniforms. I can say the concert went better than I thought it's gonna be.

Yesterday we went snow tubing in Vassar. It was a lot of fun, but it was quite crowded so you had to wait most of the time..

Right now I am watching the Super Bowl. I still don't really understand football but my knowledge is improving ;).

I guess that's all for now. My next post is gonna be about Coming Home what is next weekend. It's the same as Homecoming but for Basketball season. We are like the only school that has that. We'll see how it is.
